The residents at Our Lady of Consolation in West Islip enjoyed “A Taste of West Islip”, where they broke bread and dined, surrounded in melody by the West Islip Symphony Orchestra, on Wednesday, March 31, sampling foods and libations donated by neighborhood restaurateurs and establishments. A “first of its kind” for the West Islip Chamber of Commerce (WICC), the event was organized by WICC to introduce neighbors to vendors.

The West Islip Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Business
Expo in conjunction with the first annual West Islip Summit.

28th.

The 5th Annual Blast From the Past was held on Sunday,
September 6th, under sunny skies. Pictured at left is the

Memorial Day in
West Islip is traditionally a day of community spirit where
we honor the men and women who have given the greatest
sacrifice for our country.

The West Islip Chamber of Commerce sponsored
its first ever Spring Fling event at the Higbie Lane Community
Center on Friday, April 24th.

The West Islip Chamber of Commerce held its
annual Installation Breakfast at Villa Monaco Restaurant on January
30th, 2009. Joseph DiPalma, was installed as President of the
Chamber, after serving previously as Vice-President and President.
Raymond Rendina was installed as Executive Vice-President.
Among those who were present are (pictured

Councilman Gene Parrington; Keynote Speaker, US Congressman Peter
King; Suffolk County Treasurer Angie Carpenter; Chamber President
